Open Garden: Prinsted Lane

Wednesday 15th April at 2pm

Patricia's Garden

Trisha says, “Since moving into Harbourside in March 2025, I have had the privilege of becoming the custodian of a truly imaginative garden originally designed by the previous owner, Ann Moss. The front garden immediately sets the tone with its striking maritime theme: shaped like a boat, with flowing beds that curve and crest like waves, it feels as though it is gently sailing toward the sea. Beyond, the rear garden unfolds into a series of enchanting “rooms,” each with its own distinct character — a tranquil woodland, a delicate fernery, a tucked-away secret garden, a serene Japanese garden, a sun-washed Mediterranean courtyard, and productive vegetable beds. Over the past year, I have found immense joy in watching the seasons transform each space, revealing new colours, textures and moods, and I am still discovering the full depth of what was created here. The garden continues to inspire me, and I warmly welcome ideas and tips from visitors as I carry its story forward.”

Note, there is limited parking in the parking area at the foreshore on Prinsted Lane (near the Sea Scout hut) and limited parking in the village.
