Our Summer Party 2026!

The event was a true team effort, with over 50 volunteers helping to decorate the hall with colourful balloons and bunting, prepare the venue, serve refreshments and clear everything away at the end of the day. Their hard work helped make the Summer Party such a success.

There was a fantastic spread of sweet and savoury food, generously provided by our members, with something for everyone to enjoy. Whether relaxing in the shade of the marquees in the meadow or chatting with friends in the hall, everyone made the most of the glorious weather and the chance to catch up.

Throughout the afternoon, Annie Jo kept everyone entertained with a great selection of well-known favourites, which brought plenty of smiles and singing along.

The tombola was, as always, a popular attraction, made possible by the generosity of our members. Thank you to everyone who donated prizes and bought tickets, helping to raise an impressive £360 for the Society.

The floral table decorations were much admired and showcased the creativity of our members. Choosing a winner was no easy task, with members taking time to admire each display before casting their votes. Congratulations to Sarah Jane Walker, whose beautiful arrangement of dahlias was chosen as the members’ favourite. With so much creativity on display, we’d love to see even more members entering this year’s Horticultural Show.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed in any way – whether by volunteering, providing food, arranging flowers, donating tombola prizes or simply coming along to support the event. It was a memorable afternoon and a wonderful reminder of the warm community spirit at the heart of Emsworth Horticultural Society.
